Baby & Faye

Meet Baby and Faye: They came to us from an abusive environment. Because they were being abused, thrown into their cage and against walls, Baby learned to defend herself the only way she knew how, by biting, HARD! Not trusting of men she now resides in a loving foster home and is learning to trust again. Faye is enjoying stashing all the toys, even kittie's!!

Alumni

These ferrets have been succeesfully placed into forever homes.

Belle

Beautiful Belle was adopted on 7/31/14!! Meet Belle! She is a very sweet 10 month old ferret. Belle has waardenburg syndrome, meaning she is deaf and EXTREMELY hyper active, more so than ferrets normally are. Waardies, as they are called, are a bit more difficult to train and have tons of energy. Given this and Belle's personality we feel it is best that she go to an experienced home with none - 1 or two other ferrets. She also LOVES to follow her foster mom around and we want to assure she can continue this in her new home. If you believe you can offer Belle a forever home where she can receive all the special attention she needs please contact us, or you may fill out an adoption application, link at top of page, and send it in.

He does play rough and will tend to nip ...even sometimes lunge at you . The children are now afraid to play with him. He has come a long way but he will need to stay with his sister and be placed in a very experienced home. They play well with the family cat. Diego & Lily

Congratulations Diego & Lily on your new home!! 2/29/16 Helping to re-home these two: It is with a heavy heart that we are in need of a new home for our 2 ferrets Diego (Sable) and Lily. I have been diagnosed with cancer and am unable to care for them any longer. They are 3 yrs. old and extremely friendly. I have had them since they were a month old. They have never bitten anyone or anything except each other when playing. Diego and Lily are very social and love the attention and love lots of cuddles. They love to play with tubes; Diego loves balls where Lily is more of a climber. They will follow you around when they want you to play. Lily likes to crawl in a sleeve and play. Lily also likes to jump on you when cleaning cage! Neither of them are a big fan of water, they do not like to swim. Diego plays rough with Lily but she just lies back and takes it. He will grab her by her face but not hard. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. They are very bonded and must stay together, they've never been separated. We are looking for a small rehoming fee of $80 as my 12 yr. old daughter saved her pennies to buy them. They will come with steel cage and anything else I have for them.

Emmitt Lego

In need of a new forever home! BONDED 1 year olds located in Taunton MA. Meet Emmitt Lego. We are helping the owner find a new home for him and his cage mate, Stormy Weather. They will need their vaccinations; we have not seen them or evaluated them. They are super sweet and they love to play with the dogs and people. There favorite time is like all ferrets exploring the house and boy oh boy do they get into lots of mischief! They love sleeping together and they play with all kinds of stuff from boxes to tunnels to the dog's toys. They make us laugh a lot with their silly antics. So it saddens us that we must find the new homes. We just can't keep them any longer. We would love to be able to receive updates on how they are doing to whoever takes them in.

Jasper

Meet Jasper, he is 6 years old and he and his cage mate, Simon, are in desperate need of a new home. Their mom, a long time ferret enthusiast can no longer care for them due to her health. Jasper had a reaction to his last Rabies shot so he cannot have any more. He could care less about the dog -- ignores her. He and Simon play great together. Jasper is the "speed-bumper" and the toy loving ferret. He redistributes all the toys in the cage. I put them all in a cuddle bed and he hides them again. He chews open the crochet eggs to get at the egg so I do not give him those anymore for fear of choking on the yarn and beads. He sometimes likes to roll plastic eggs around. He loves to be petted on the lower back. He likes treats more than Simon. He had a partial rat tail for a few months a couple years ago, which came back in beautiful on his next shed and has not returned. He is a Sable. Jasper & Simon both love tubes, boxes, and other places to explore. They tolerate their baths and love to play with water by dragging the water bowl around rather than playing in it. They come with a 2 story Ferret Nation cage with 4 shelves, 2 carriers, and lots of bedding. If you can open up your home to Simon and his brother please contact us.

Thank you for considering Jager and his brother.

Macho

Owner rehome - He is about 2 1/2 years old. He is really relaxed, loves to cuddle, and play. I would say his favorite thing to do is play in plastic shopping bags, no idea why.. He is the most easy going ferret you'll meet. He has no health issues. Prefer he stays with Mickey New Bedford MA area, will be going for a wellness checkup week of 9/5/15. Please contact us either through message or email info@maferrets.org for owner's contact information.

Maddie & Yogi

Grafton MA area: Two bonded ferrets in need of new home. Must go to an experienced ferret owner because of their age and issues accepting other ferrets. Maddie: 5 year old dark sable female, loves to give her humans kisses, snuggle, play in tunnels, and explore. She is an alpha and has a lot of trouble accepting new cage mates. Yogi: 4 year old cinnamon male, he hardly ever sleeps; all he wants to do is run, play, and climb! He tends to be rough when playing with cats, but has done very well when introduced to other ferrets. Saved from a family member when they moved these two sweethearts didn't have a great start. Current owner already has a business of 7 and just can't keep, especially with a baby on the way. Both litter box trained, MUST stay together and should be the only ferrets in the home, unless separate play groups can be done. Small rehoming fee includes ferrets and their favorite items.

Maxi

Owner rehome - She is the little brown one sleeping. She was my first ferret, around 3 years old. She is playful, likes to jump around a lot and follow you around. No health issues. Prefer she stays with Minnie. New Bedford MA area, will be going for a wellness checkup week of 9/5/15. Please contact us either through message or email info@maferrets.org for owner's contact information.

Mickey

Owner rehome - Mickey (male) is around 1 1/2-2 years old. He loves playing with rubber chew toys. I would want him paired with Macho. He has no health issues, other than his tail having "blackheads" or oil buildup in the tail, which is common in ferrets. I clean the tail 1-2 times a week to help reduce it. Prefer he stays with Macho New Bedford MA area, will be going for a wellness checkup week of 9/5/15. Please contact us either through message or email info@maferrets.org for owner's contact information.

Simon

Meet Simon, he is 6 years old and he and his cage mate, Jasper, are in desperate need of a new home. Their mom, a long time ferret enthusiast can no longer care for them due to her health. Simon is definitely the alpha male. He is the most curious. He loves my dog and they play well together. He gets into everything he can. He is not a big toy guy but does enjoy the toys on a string. He loves to be petted on the head, behind the ears, and under the neck. He has gotten a lot more gray or white hairs since I got him--old age, I'm sure. His fur is sometimes a little coarse but usually comes in well with the next shed. Plus I add a bit extra Salmon Oil when it gets that way. I would classify him as a Silver Mitt, but he could be just a Sable. If you can open up your home to Simon and his brother please contact us.

Maisey

With heavy hearts we say good bye to Maisey. DIP little angel 12/2/15 Maisy and her sister Powder came to us about 9 months ago and were adopted out to a young man shortly after taking them in. Very sadly he needed to surrender them back to us due to unforeseen housing issues. These 2 were part of an animal abuse case that went to court; they were left outside in a filthy cage with slime green water to drink and little food. Both girls are deaf and do not get along with other ferrets. Maisy now has a medical condition and they will remain in one of our foster homes for the rest of their lives.
